Questions about the GC simulation software:
Q: Why does GC simulator have three "cube modes"? What are the differences between gliding cube mode, traditional cube mode and combo mode? And why is the traditional cube mode disabled?
A: We allow the puzzle to be played in different modes to accommodate different player preferences. Only our newly invented sliding moves are allowed in gliding cube mode, and only spin moves are allowed in the traditional cube mode, whereas in the combo
mode, both moves are allowed. The traditional cube mode is disabled because we are not certain whether this mode would infringe on the copyright of Rubik's Cube®. As you may know, although Rubik's Cube® was never patented outside of Hungary (even it were, it would have long expired by now), the Rubik's Cube® game's look and feel is still under copyright protection. To be safe, we have disabled the traditional mode at this point. We will enable this mode once all the legal hurdles have been cleared. Meanwhile, you can still play the cube just like a Rubik's Cube® by setting the cube mode to the combo mode but only use spin moves when you play. The only limitation for doing this is that "auto scramble" in this mode will always scramble the cube using both spins and slides. Therefore, you have to manually scramble the cube if you want to play it like a Rubik's Cube®.

Q: Why does not the GC simulator on my machine render the same image quality as the screen shots on your website?
A: If the program runs on your machine and you are not seeing the same image quality as you see on our website, the only possible reason is that your graphics hardware lacks a feature called Full Screen Anti-Aliasing ("FSAA"). The majority of the graphics hardware manufactured after the year 2000 has FSAA. In fact, the current average price for an FSAA capable graphics card is under $80. And this price is going down constantly.

 Questions about Gliding Cube™ puzzle:
Q: Do you have solutions to GC puzzle already?
A: Yes. Just 3 days after glidingcube.com went public, great minds around the world figured out this puzzle completely! See the Feedbacks page for details

Q: Do you have a physical gliding cube?
A: No. Although we believe that with the appropriate materials and a good design, a physical GC could be manufactured. We have not put much mind to it yet. At this point, we do not have any expertise in mechanical or material designs. However, we are always interested in co-licensing the GC puzzle with anyone who can turn the GC puzzle to a physical reality. If you have any suggestions or believe you can help us, please send email to info@glidingcube.com.
