Gliding Cube™ not only looks like a real cube, but also plays like a real cube. It offers the following features:
Photo realistic images of the cube puzzle achieved with Microsoft's state of the art Direct3D technology.
Ease of control on the puzzle.
This is where most cube puzzle simulation programs have failed due to the fact that the cube moves in a 3-dimensional space whereas the computer cursor moves in a 2-dimensional space. As a result, the simulated cubes tend to be very hard to position and maneuver. We have developed an effective algorithm that allows a player to rotate the cube exactly the way he wants to, and spin or slide any sub-piece of the cube in the intended direction.

 Adjustable degree of difficulty.
You can make the puzzle as small as 1x1x2 or as big as 8x9x10. In fact, each dimension of the cube can be independently adjusted to any number between 1 to 20, making it the most flexible cube puzzle program in the world, and suitable for players of all ages and all skill levels.

Ability to save and retrieve game files, pattern files and solution files.
When you have to stop playing in the middle of a game, you can save the game and come back later to pick up where you left. Patterns as well as solutions can be saved and retrieved so that ideas on how to solve the puzzle can be shared among players.

Mirror views to help the disoriented.
Disorientation is a big problem for beginning players. GC provides up to two mirrors to make it possible for players to see all six faces at the same time.

 Adjustable colors.
Those who have difficulty in seeing certain colors do not worry! Our software allows users to adjust the colors of all six faces of the cube and the background to any colors they like. Players who have color preferences can also take advantage of this nice feature.

Note: This software works under Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Me, and Windows 98 with DirectX 7.0 or later multimedia subsystem. Windows 98 users without DirectX 7.0 can download the latest DirectX subsystem directly from Microsoft free of charge.
